A few months ago Google Authorship made its way online, and like any true SEO geek, which I was then, I rushed out to link up my content with my Google Plus profile.
Horrors, I didn’t see my pic in search results as I hoped I did, but then found out that it was only rolling out for peeps in the US and on google.com. Tonight, I had a pleasant surprise that it finally rolled out for google.co.za users and I’m seeing my mug on some of my content, see pic.
Nice!
How would you like to brand yourself with your content on Google’s search results page?
The Zen of Attraction
by Thomas J. Leonard
1. Promise nothing. Just do what you most enjoy doing.
2. Sign nothing. Just do what doesn’t require a signature of any kind.
3. Offer nothing. Just share what you have with those who express an interest.
4. Expect nothing. Just enjoy what you already have; it’s plenty.
5. Need nothing. Just build up your reserves and your needs will disappear.
6. Create nothing. Just respond well to what comes to you.
7. Seduce no one. Just enjoy them.
8. Adrenalize nothing. Just add value and get excited about that.
9. Hype nothing. Just let quality sell by itself.
10. Fix nothing. Just heal yourself.
11. Plan nothing. Just take the path of least resistance.
12. Learn nothing. Just let your body absorb it all on your behalf.
13. Become no one. Just be more of yourself.
14. Change nothing. Just tell the truth and things will change by themselves.

I’m reading the book “End Malaria, that I bought some time ago.
It’s an inspirational read, and the latest question consumes my world.
In a perfect world…..
I would partner up on a new and creative business idea with someone everyday.
Now it’s your turn.
Please complete the sentence.
In my perfect world...
I was inspired by this post, http://www.trafficgenerationcafe.com/promote-your-blog/, to create this one
Meeting new people and networking is a huge part of being an online business owner and this is a great place to do just that.
Ok, this is just an idea at the moment, and ideas are worth nothing if not shared and then implemented eventually.
The vision is hundred of young people walking around with smart phones like the one in the picture, and going to local businesses and hosting them on Google Places for free (or a small fee?)
Once these businesses are online, they’re also offered a free Google Adwords voucher by the person, who’s obviously part of the Google Engage program.
And if the business doesn’t have a website, they could upsell them on all of the typical online services. I’m going to pitch this idea to Brett St Clair, the person I know at Google.
Let’s see what he says.
If you’re interested in partnering with me, get in touch and let’s talk further
When Alex and I initially discussed this workshop, we were both at the launch of Future Fit in Jozi, and that starts tomorrow, (I’m excited about the possibilities and plans in place to promote social entrepreneuring in Johannesburg and what I can learn on the weekend) and I needed to come up with something substantial to present to the members of the Hub.
Its an interesting place, cause there’s so many amazing people who come through there, but being situated in Jozi’s city centre, its not a place I like going to very often to just work, I prefer the leafy suburb’s coffee shop instead. Anyway, I ramble, but I mean to say I wrote this post on the basics of Facebook for Business which I’ll be covering at this workshop.
The workshop will be very hands on. I’m not one to spout on for long hours about theory, and I’ll be there to guide you working on your Facebook Page and integrating it with your WordPress blog (I do hope that you have one of those)
Book by sending an email to johannesburg.hosts@the-hub.net or call 011.048.2542
Hope to see you there.
Networking at the launch of the recent Future Fit was an exciting opportunity to meet incredible people and their awesome initiatives.
Apart from the other social entrepreneurs I met people from organisations doing great work and Jeanne from Asen was one of them.
They had the event about this topic earlier today but I was unable to attend because my business is in client acquisition phase (a fancy way of saying I’m looking for client’s) and I couldn’t attend.
She did send me the link to the presentation though:
