Namaste again Haroun,
As discussed earlier, could you give me an idea, based on your rates, what one would charge to:
Set up a Facebook page and link to an existing website;
Set up Twitter on both;
Link the existing website blog to Facebook and Twitter.
Maintain all on a monthly basis, both answering queries and making postings, as well as the posting of 1 x blog article per week.
I am not sure if my client is going to opt for full SEO campaign/link building to search engines or not, and will let you know when I hear from her, but perhaps if you could give me an idea of your fee for initial development and then maintenance so we can see what kind of ballpark she’s looking at?
Muchas appreciated,
Chantal
Hi Chantal
Thanks for this opportunity to engage on this topic.
Set up a Facebook page and link to an existing website – 2hours
Set Up Twitter – 2 hours
Link the blog to Facebook and Twitter – 4 hours
Maintain all on a monthly basis, including 1 blog article a week
So for the above once-off set-up, I estimate 8 hours of work assuming that all of the graphics and content is supplied (I don’t know the company you’re dealing with so I can’t assume what’s provided
And charging at the rounded figure of R300/h, that comes to R2400. I’m not sure how long it takes you to compose 1 blog post and maintaining the facebook and twitter campaign can only be assessed once I know how all the interactions are going to take
Hi Haroun,
Thanks for being interested in my feedback.
I don’t think I am the most qualified to have an opinion though, being that I haven’t spent money in over a year
Having looked at these prices though, I wonder how many people would be able to take the whole package. Having said that, how many people can afford not to?
Hey Adin
You do lots of creation of Facebook pages. Do you have any indication of how long it takes etc?
Hi Haroun,
Your prices look very reasonable and fair to me for the professional service that you are offering.
All the best,
Francois
Thanks for your feedback Francois. Coming from another professional in the field, I appreciate you leaving your honest answers. Thanks for coming as I asked you too
All the best with http://cakespoon.com too
Hi Haroun, Adin & Francois,
Many thanks for all of the advice and feedback. Haroun, I definitely think the pricing is fair and balanced and you’ve helped put it into perspective for me, so much appreciated. Still waiting for more definitive info from the client and will let you know the outcome.
Take care all
xx
Thanks Chantal.
Its great that you’re getting into Social Networking. As you can see its something that many businesses are recognising as an effective channel to promote to. The prices I sent don’t necessarily have a price for creating a Facebook Group, setting up a Twitter profile etc, but can give a good idea of what current prices are in setting up a profile.
Good luck, and please let me know what your client decides
I got this quote from Lorna and I thought it may be a good idea to discuss the price implications on a public platform:
1. Create and HTML Site based on the look and feel attached. This will consist of 3 pages for now (we will add more at a later stage). This will exclude images for now – at the moment we need the framework created – imagery will be supplied to you.
2. All drop down menus at the top will be the same on the left hand side of the page. Menus will need to have 3 levels, so for now all menus can be as per attached layout, second level will be temp and third level will be TBA for now.
3. For now this is merely a FRAME for management to view, modifications will be made over the next few weeks, but they need to physically see a structure.
4. Each page will also include menu on the right hand side with functioning search menu as well as RSS feeds, Facebook links, etc
5. Under Education, we will have pages with course details, which will link to an online booking form – fields will be finalised and supplied at a later stage.
6. I would also like to have pricing included for having the following functionality. If people click on e-library, I want it to go to a page where they will need to register, name, company, contact and email in order to be able to access the brochures, a sample is here: http://www.marval.co.uk/downloads/public/
Can you please let me know what pricing we would look at for the above and on acceptance of quotation how long would it take for us to get Phase 1 – framework.
If you’re interested, please leave a comment here, and I’ll get in touch with you with Lorna’s details
