"The Divine in me Greets the Divine in You" is one of the greetings commonly used in the Yoga circles here in Jozi.
I've been doing yoga for more than 10 years now and its changed my life for the better. Some people also tell me that I've been doing yoga for many lives.
I'm not so sure about that, but I do know that I love it so much that I happen to find myself working for 2 Yoga organisations.
The ISHTA Yoga Studio
One is the ISHTA yoga studio in Sandton where I do simple email marketing to the students and advertise the studio on the internet.
ISHTA means Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda, which is a mouthful is you say too fast but really means that it intergrates the special arts of Hatha, which the twisting pretzel like poses we are so familiar with, and Tantra which is one of the most ancient arts of contacting the divine and Ayurveda, which means Art of Life.
This is a very studio for the serious student of yoga and its one of the most beautiful studios around in Jozi.
The major Yoga site I'm working on is the Complete Yoga portal. We hope to make it a really large portal with all the Yoga events in South Africa. Please help me make that happen by visiting the site and checking it out.
I greet you in the traditional Kundalini Yogi greeting which means, "Truth is my Identity".
Kundalini Yoga is called the Queen of Yoga and the aim is to liberate the radiant, beautiful soul. Kundalini is the latent life-force energy which mythologically lives coiled around your tail bone.
They say a picture tells a thousand words, so perhaps a movie will tell a whole new story so check this really cool video that shows how Kundalini moves up your bootie and makes you bootilicious.
You must have a broadband connection to watch this video, if you still on dial-up it may be a problemo.
Anyway on to Kundalini Yoga itself, here's an introduction:
