Day 6 (Day 2 of rice fast)
Good greetings!
So, I survived day 2 & I’m feeling good at the moment, although tired. My hip bath is simmering away so I’m looking forward to getting into that once I’ve posted this!
Breakfast was delicious this morning. I had normal pressured cooked brown rice with gomasio and a tiny splash of shoyu & a small cup of twig tea.
Lunch was also yummy and to spice things up a bit I had some tekka which was¬†nice (although I had about a quarter of the amount I’ve been putting on my grains recently!!!). I felt a little shaky before I ate lunch and as though my blood sugar levels went a little crazy, I also felt some weakness in my arms too but this soon passed once I’d eaten.
Dinner was brown rice with gomasio and shoyu which was also very nice.
Today I saw and tasted the difference between roasted and then pressure cooked brown rice and just pressure cooked brown rice. The roasted one was much sweeter, darker, smaller and drier where as the normal pressure cooked was much more yin. It was so interesting to have these different versions side by side to see them visually and to taste the difference. I much preferred the pre roasted one…mmmm! It felt much more nourishing!
The other symptoms I’ve had seem to be fading although my left shoulder is still¬†feeling a little tense. I must just keep working the meridian! ¬†
OK, time for me to go to get myself into my hip bath before bed. I slept well last night after the hip bath but felt tired this morning, like I could sleep for longer. We’ll see how things go tomorrow.
Love & healing
