Day 9

Howdy!

Brunch

Lentils with cauliflower and onion

Toast (I couldn’t help it, there was nice bread¬†and I wanted a quick fix!) with date syrup

Bancha tea

Dinner

It’s always such a pleasure to get back home to my kitchen, I really miss it if I’m away for even a day and when I return a feel a new sense of appreciation each time!

I felt that I didn’t eat as well as I could have due to being very busy and wanting to have quick and simple meals. So, when I got home this afternoon I decided that I’d make sure I had a really nourishing dinner to make up for it and ahhhhh, I¬†believe I¬†did :O)

Squash soup with kombu and spring onion garnish

Stir fried cabbage with sunflower seeds, thai fish curry (made with sardines, thai curry paste, oat cream and courgettes - which probably sounds a bit strange but was really delicious!), brown rice, oven roasted parsnips, pressed daikon & steamed brocolli

Granola and apple juice

Strong twig tea :O)

Snacks/other

I ate an apple today on my journey home. It was the first¬†raw apple I’ve had¬†for such a long time! :O)

This weekend with my parents has been very meaningful for me and it seems a testament to the healing work I have been doing. I am feeling so grateful for that and for everything!

Becoming mindful of¬† life from a holistic viewpoint is so rewarding. I guess in all healing work one does, more often than¬†it is a case of¬†¬†trudging ¬†through the swamp to get to the clear water (and then making the most of the clear water whilst it lasts!!).¬† On this note, I’d like to raise my cup of twig tea and toast to swamp trudging!! ‘To swamp trudging’!!! he he!!

Much love, light and clear waters
