The Day Out of Time is the culmination of the 13 Moon Calendar year originated from the Mayan science of time. On July 25th, Sirius (the dog star) rises with the sun. This day is observed as a day free of time in the 13 Moon Calendar.
Time is Art
It is a day of reverence and cultural appreciation for the concept ‘Time is Art.’ This ‘free day’ is the closing of a 13×28=364 day year. The Day Out of Time re-aligns the 13 Moon calendar to the solar year and re-aligns humanity into renewed appreciation for our inherent divinity and connection to nature.
The 13 Moon Calendar is a Solar, Lunar, Galactic calendar that measures time from a 4th dimensional quantitative and qualitative perspective, revealing the synchronic and cyclical nature of time. The 13 Moon calendar is comprised of thirteen 28 day months, just as there are 13 lunations in a solar year.
The Day Out of Time is an annual collaborative healing arts festival, We will be employing sacred wisdom, old and new, to liberate ourselves from the social construction of time, shifting people into a state of unity with the natural frequencies of the universe.
The Significance of this time
We are nearing the end of the Yellow Self-existing Seed Year, a year to “measure awareness.” Indeed it seems that the Deep Horizon oil spill happening now at the end of this year is a divinely timed call from the Earth, measuring the awareness of us humans, and the impact of our present way of being on the planet. Therefore, it must also be divine timing that after this year’s Day Out of Time we will begin the Red Overtone Moon Year of purifying universal water!
As you may already know, Dr. Masaru Emoto holds the annual Love and Thanks to the Water Ceremony every year on the Day Out of Time (July 25). This is the perfect day to hold this ceremony‚Äîlet’s synchronize with him again and hold Water Blessing ceremonies at all Day Out of Time events. Heal the Planet!

The Schedule of Events
- Talk about day out of time.
- Share ideas on crisis in gulf and on the planet.
- Share what we are doing, our visions and work etc with each other
- A fire/water ceremony at opening and at the end of the day.
- Possibility of a sweatlodge (An African sifutu which is 3 short rounds – from 5pm onwards) includes a light support of soup & bread
- Drumming and informal musical celebration
Please bring blankets & fold up chairs to sit on
Everything will be bring and share. There will be a kitchen/tea/coffee space area so we can have a shared lunch at 13:00 where we can formally eat together.
We will have fires going and have pots available as well as a rocket stove , gas stove and solar cooker, (sorry no microwave 
An altar will be set up on the makosini where people can light a candle – (traditional ancestors house) and readings will be available during the day – anyone else who wants to offer something can do so as well – just let us know what to set up.
Directions
Sunset Lane is just off Sunset boulevard – which runs behind fourways crossing  mall parallel to William Nichol
Take William Nichol off ramp and turn towards Monte Casino
As you pass Monte casino – there is a slip road on the right before the bridge, that takes you into witkoppen road.
Turn right into witkoppen and immediately left at the robot – Pineslopes shops (Billy the Bum) will be on your left. The road is called “The Straight”
(If you take the ring road around Monte casino – just cross over witkoppen as you will come out at this robot on The Straight)
At the traffic circle – Forest road – turn left – Hirsh’s home store is on your right
At the four way stop  -Sunset Boulevard – turn right – Sunset lane is the first one on the right – small cull de sac – Park at the building 1 Sunset Lane.
If you miss the Witkoppen turnoff and go past Monte casino and under the bridge (don’t panic)  – turn right at the next robot – at MacDonald’s – go up the hill to the T-junction robot – builders warehouse on the left
Turn right into sunset boulevard – sunset lane is the first one on the left then.
