Assalamu alaikum
We are preparing a small booklet about the background and history of the
Rasooli Centre and please need your assistance and participation.
Please reflect upon incidents, experiences or insights that have come to you
as a member of our community and pass it on to Esma Anderson and Shirley
Ellis, who are collecting the information, stories and reminiscences in the
hope that the booklet will be ready for the Eid al-Fitr at the end of
Ramadan.
The booklet aims to tell the story of how the centre started, the Ravat
gallery and friends, how Shaykh Fadhlalla came to South Africa, the
involvement and roles of shaykhs Asaf, Ikram and Husam, the
building of the mosque and eventually all the activities currently
surrounding the centre: the Academy of Self Knowledge, the clinic, the yoga
classes, the current expansion of the complex, etc.
