I don’t like protests, they do tend to focus energy on what we don’t want to experience, but seeing that I haven’t come up with anything positive action, this will do to raise awareness of what’s happening in the gulf. And I get to use this cool pic I got from Facebook.
Here’s the email I got, please help share the message:
http://www.350.org/hartbeespoort-reduction-party.
I’ve stumbled across 350.org in my pursuit to find accurate information
regarding the Gulf of Mexico BP Oil Spill that is leaking at an estimate of
4 million liters per day.
I have taken up the responsibility of organizing a peaceful protest to
mark our disappointment in BP’s actions to fix what they have done to the Gulf. We will be doing this in conjunction with a Worldwide BP Protest, consisting of 33 Cities across 5 Continents this Saturday 12 June 2010 @ BP on William Nicol Drive, Fourways. More cities to come soon. Please let me know if you would like to start another protest outside of Johannesburg.
I’d appreciate if you can circulate this information to your South African
contacts.
For more information please search for “Worldwide BP Protest Day – 12 June
2010″ on Facebook or following this link:

I guess what we need is some Eco-warriors to plan a media sabotage of the World Cup where BP is one of the sponsors, I heard a cutesy on 702 yesterday, about their sponsorship of the deisel for the generators at the stadiums and theme parks.
What to do?

Thank you Haroun!

Thanks for taking the initiative and organising Imiel, let's make our world amazing again!
