Hi Haroun,
I drink some kind of juice every day – sometimes pasteurized with added vitamins, and at others just fresh squeezed and then either fresh squeezed or pasteurized with a spoon full of Moringa leaf powder or other Chlorella based powder.
I do prefer squeezing apples and topping up with a spoon of Moringa – Moringa has a strong flavour and because of this I advise others to start with fresh apple juice (pasteurized if no juicer is available) and a spoon of Moringa and then increase amount to taste – and for whatever reason. As I enjoy excellent health, I use it occasionally to build immunity – but I have friends who are overcoming cancer and they take it each day… depends on circumstances.

It will be a part of a holistic treatment – taken as a food – not a medicine. When I next see them I shall ask – (overseas at the moment for a while).
Also the results of some children in poorer communities have been awesome – after just 3 weeks they look healthier – where before they were malnourished – do a Google search.
I would love to hear about their experience. Turning their lives around and going the holistic route. I just think this miracle tree should be used to bring more benefit to rural communities. Here’s something that they can profit from too…

How did you get involved and how long is your business going for…?
Last year February there was a article in the Star newspaper about the lady in Limpopo that is being sponsored by the government. She plants the trees and also sells. Well I bought from her for a friend that had TB and that is also HIV positive. She recovered within a month.The government clinic sister even wanted to know what she did because her CD4 count picked up. She was strong and healthy and still is.This winter she only got light flu’s .No bronchitis or Pneumonia. Because of those results we started the business last year August.

Moringa oleifera is a very fast growing tree; it commonly reaches four meters in height just 10 months after the seed is planted and can bear fruit within its first year. Its pods are triangular in cross-section (30 to 50 cm long) and legume-like in appearance. These pods have oil rich black and winged seeds, which can be crushed to produce biodiesel. Moringa could yield +3 ton oil per ha and that it could be used for food in times of shortages. The seeds contain 30 percent to 40 percent oil that is high in oleic acid. The meal yields about 61 percent protein. Biodiesel made from Moringa has better oxidative stability than biodiesel made with most other feedstocks the crop’s multiple dimensions would make it attractive to farmers worldwide. It does produce a lot of seed, and it produces well in areas that need income. Other than biodiesel, the pods can also produce edible (in fact, highly nutritious) seeds and leaves. In addition, some parts of the plant have medicinal purposes, and the sap can potentially be used as a dye. Their pods are harvested, meaning that the trees keep on growing, using water and reducing the high water table whilst sequestrating carbon.

Firstly I would like to inform all that sharing this blog that I have been awarded the contract to supply 250 000 seeds and 15 000 seedlings for a community based project starting on the 1st October 2012. This is faze 1 of 5 boy and I AM SO EXITED for the massive breakthrough, for the Moringa Plant, and for me that I have been working on and waiting this for so long. We have also been appointed by a Tribal leader to start our educational process to educate 1000 farmers in his community with a complete 2 year training schedule funded by private investors “How to farm Moringa and make Profits”. We will be donating close to 2 000 000 seeds for this project and this is my biggest challenge I have been faced with in my 52 years and this is going to be the most fulfilling period of my life. “ Keya Leboga Khoshi” for giving us this opportunity to touch hearts and change lives. “Bothle Retla Phomelela ~ Together we will succeed”.
The comment about the biofuel is one that is SUPER sensitive throughout the whole Moringa world due to the fact that it is a food/supplement source. Years ago before the comprehensive research and wonderful uses it has in store for humans was conducted it looked like a viable avenue to follow together with the Jatropha plant. However the contrary has been proven and the uses for humans consumption by far outweigh the use for biodiesel by a 1000%. Keeping in mind “Return on Investment”.
There has been numerous “BIO” projects started but eventually the farmers realise the human potential it is all shelved in very quick succession. I do not know of one, can somebody correct me in saying this, Moringa bio diesel project that is functional at this present time producing oil for this fruitless cause. The oil that is pressed is for human consumption can be put to far better use than burning it through an exhaust pipe. POINT. There are other less useful plants and weeds that can be used for this type of industry. However I still have my doubts, if and when, will the biodiesel, if ever, come to full realization. I will together with the whole Moringa family lobby and protest against the use of Moringa for Bio diesel,
What are your thoughs.
My heart cannot accept the fact that something so sacred that can feed millions of people be pressed out and made into a biodiesel. There is such a shortage of good valuable seeds that can be put to far better use. My dream is to see that all Moringa farmers donate portions of the seed harvest to communities to plant their own Moringa plantations that cannot afford the finished manufactured, good looking packages that we can afford.
That is how I feel and I am truly sorry if I have offended anybody.
