A reading from a sangoma involves consultation with the Ancestors, or Amadlozi as they are known in Zulu (which is translated as ‘the desired ones’ rather than directly as ancestors), as not every passed human being becomes an active ancestral guide. The Amadlozi which are active, are specifically called to be so for the individuals they relate to who are still in body; and are very aware of their chosen role as an ancestral guide in relation to you.
The reading or consultation process is not fortune telling, as is sometimes believed. Traditionally consulting a Sangoma is initiated when ever guidance is required about health issues, circumstances, spiritual concerns, and the relationship to ones own being and life path. Family, community and environmental welfare are also reasons a Sangoma would be asked or requested to read or be consulted with.
This covers all areas of a person’s life and is a holistic practice.
From the consultation, the Sangoma will be able to help you connect more deeply with the amadlozi, the self-empowerment processes and healing, and where necessary be guided on the choices they have to address what is not working in their lives. On a deeper level the reading opens the door to a greater understanding of how we are all connected and the connection we have to shared memory and wisdom that links us to a greater consciousness of heart and harmony.

The distance reading is done traditionally in the Makhosini (ancestor’s sacred space) and even though you are not physically present; by giving your full name and permission/request, the Sangoma is able to go into consultation with the ancestors or amadlozi to receive information and guidance to present to you. Certain details such as parent’s surnames will be required from you once you have made a request for a consultation and also the main issues or subject which you wish to receive guidance on.
We would like to remind you that a reading is not fortune telling, or grand predictions on your future; and so please take this into consideration when thinking about what you would like to consult with the ancestors about.
The reading is a diagnostic channeled connection that allows for guidance from the amadlozi to be presented to you; to offer healing, strengthen your awareness and support the shift in consciousness which is required for you to move forward in your life and path.
The distance consultation reading is sent to you via email. It is written out in full and medicines or further healing work will be offered at the end of the reading if the ancestors guide this. The reading is sent to you within 3-7 days of the request and confirmation of a consultation.
The cost of the reading is R200.
