Every now and then you come across a term that spins your mind. And the idea of an “urban whale” did just that for me – I mean I’ve seen foxes, raccoons and deer in my town, and bears are even occasionally reported around here – but never a whale. It turns out the term is nowhere near as crazy as you’d think. We’ve already seen one whale wonder into Brooklyn, and the problem is only likely to get worse.
