We believe that facilitating is a creative act.

The ART OF FACILITATION is an inspiring development programme that gives you an opportunity to sharpen and broaden your practice as a FACILITATOR. The programme will grow your confidence, expand your skills and add new tools to your tool kit so that you can be the best facilitator you can be.

There will be taster days on the 18th of August in Johannesburg and the 25th of August in Cape Town. Find out more on https://www.artoffacilitation.co.za

Become part of a network of facilitators who want to learn, to experiment and to expand their approach and facilitation tools. The group is a vital part of the learning process and all participants are encouraged to share their own experience, knowledge, skills and tools with their fellow learners.

The programme focuses on deepening your grasp of the core principles of facilitation, while covering a range of approaches and tools to help you design the best approach for your client or the group you are working with. It will give you the FREEDOM to FACILITATE as you will build a solid platform from which to practise and experiment.

The ART OF FACILITATION is divided into five modules spread over a six-month period, providing plenty of opportunity for you to apply what you have learnt in the group sessions to your own work environment. You will also be allocated a coach who will support you along this learning journey. The key components include:

Being the Facilitator – Being aware of who you are and where you have come from influences how you facilitate. You will deepen your own personal awareness and develop your personal signature as a facilitator.

Designing the Intervention – Being able to thoughtfully translate a brief into an appropriate and powerful intervention using solid design principles combined with creative flair.

Expanding your Tool Kit – You will learn new approaches, tools and tricks that you can apply immediately in your work. As a participant you will have access to a ‘living library’ of books, articles and inspirational links.

We have a wonderful line-up of experienced guest facilitators who are experts in specific approaches or tools who will join us over the course of the programme. This adds to the richness and diversity of the experience and will increase your exposure and hopefully your curiosity to find out more.

If you are interested in attending this programme we would love to talk to you and to share more details that will help you make a decision to invest in yourself and other facilitators.
