Billions In Change

I’ve just signed up to volunteer with Billions in Change.

At this early stage, their biggest need is to build momentum by spreading the word about the film and by recruiting other volunteers who resonate with this message.

Here’s why that’s important: In order to implement the inventions at the scale we’re envisioning, we need support from local, state, and national governments.

The key to gaining that support is by coordinating our efforts to contact elected officials in strategic places, informing them about our work, and encouraging them to create friendly policies (or remove unfriendly ones) that will enable and facilitate the distribution of our solutions.

The more people we can mobilize to make phone calls, write letters, and send emails, the greater our ability to influence policy and, ultimately, realize a better world.

All of that is a bit down the road, but I wanted to give you a picture of where we’re headed.

Right now, as a first step, I’m asking you to join me in getting the message out by:

  1. Following Billions in Change on Twitter and Facebook;
  2. Using social media to share stories from and the film;
  3. Personally encouraging at least 20 friends, family members, or coworkers — in person, over the phone, through an email — to watch the film and sign up as a volunteer.

Now that you’re a volunteer, you’re part of the team. So as we make new discoveries, have information to report, or have opportunities for taking action, you’ll be among the first to know. And if you’re interested in volunteering at a level beyond what I’ve described here, there will be opportunities for that, too.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have something specific in mind.

This was a message from

Manoj Bhargava

to me.

I’m happy to be part of this organisation.
